Edge Banding Machine

Edge banding machines apply hot-melt adhesive to attach PVC, ABS, melamine and solid wood edge bands to panel edges. The treatment delivers moisture resistance, crack prevention, aesthetic appearance and environmental friendliness, which directly determines furniture quality and service life. The machine comprises ten functional units: feeding conveyor, pre-milling, gluing, pressing, rough trimming, fine trimming, edge scraping, polishing, edge band cutting and discharging.

Motong’s control solution adopts independent servo drive for each process and electronic cam synchronization, ensuring coordinated movement without jitter or collision even at high running speeds. Embedded dedicated edge banding algorithms support automatic panel thickness detection, closed-loop glue temperature control and adaptive pressing force. Different production specifications can be switched with one click without mechanical adjustment.

It is fitted with safety light curtains, anti-pinch protection, glue level monitoring and remote fault diagnosis to reduce maintenance costs. The machine can be connected with upstream cutting machines and downstream six-sided drilling machines to build a fully automatic production line covering cutting, edge banding and drilling, which greatly improves productivity and yield rate.
