Double-Side Sander

Also known as double-end sander, double-side sanders perform precision grinding, chamfering, deburring and polishing on both sides and edges of panels. The finished edges are smooth and burr-free with no sharp corners, enhancing furniture safety and appearance. It is widely used for processing cabinet boards, wardrobe panels, door panels and tabletops. The machine includes feeding conveyor, upper and lower pressing mechanisms, left and right grinding units, abrasive belts / grinding wheels, dust extraction system, unloading platform and control system.

MT’s solution adopts PLC and servo control. All grinding units are servo-driven, and the abrasive belt runs under closed-loop tension control with tension fluctuation limited within ±2%. It ensures uniform grinding without wavy marks or over-sanding. A built-in grinding process library allows one-click parameter switching for different materials such as solid wood, MDF and multi-layer boards, as well as varied surface roughness and chamfer requirements.

It supports automatic panel detection, adaptive grinding pressure and abrasive belt wear compensation to minimize manual intervention. Equipped with safety protection, overload alarm and belt breakage protection as well as remote maintenance functions, the machine features high stability and low failure rate. It can be linked with cutting machines, edge banding machines and six-sided drilling machines to realize full-process automation from cutting, edge banding, drilling to sanding, boosting overall productivity and consistent product quality.
