Four-Side Edging Machine
Four-side edging machines are mainstream equipment for glass edging, chamfering and polishing in glass deep processing. They complete rough grinding, fine grinding, chamfering and polishing on four glass sides in one operation to remove burrs and sharp edges as well as micro-cracks, producing smooth, round and safe glass edges. The equipment is extensively used for flat glass processing in architectural doors & windows, curtain walls, bathrooms, furniture, home appliances and automobiles.
The machine consists of glass loading platform, automatic positioning & clamping unit, servo conveying system, four sets of edging units (2–4 grinding wheels per side), grinding wheel drive motors, cooling spray system, unloading platform and CNC system.
MT’s solution applies independent servo drive for each edging unit. Closed-loop grinding wheel pressure control keeps pressure fluctuation within ±3%, achieving consistent edging without chipping or corner damage. A built-in process library supports one-click parameter switching for different glass thicknesses, chamfer sizes and surface roughness.
It features automatic glass detection, grinding wheel wear auto-compensation and adaptive cooling water flow to reduce manual operation. Safety light curtains, anti-collision protection, grinding wheel overload alarm and water shortage protection ensure high safety and reliability. The machine can be connected with glass cutting machines, drilling machines, washing machines and tempering furnaces to form a fully automatic glass deep processing line covering cutting, edging, drilling, cleaning and tempering for remarkable efficiency improvement.
