Stacking Machine
Stacking machines serve as core production equipment for pouch batteries and blade batteries. They stack positive electrodes, negative electrodes and separators alternately to form cells. Compared with the winding process, stacking helps enhance battery energy density and safety.
Core technical difficulties focus on stacking alignment, separator tension control and operating speed. Unstable separator tension leads to wrinkles and poses risks to battery safety. The machine runs at 480 pcs per minute with a web speed of 24 m/min. The alignment tolerance of positive and negative composite electrodes is ±0.3 mm, and the overall cell alignment tolerance is ±0.5 mm.
The multi-axis servo stacking mechanism realizes precise picking and stacking of electrodes and separators. Closed-loop tension control stabilizes separator tension and prevents stretching and deformation. Dedicated stacking process algorithms support parameter configuration for various cell models and fast production switching.
Equipped with vision positioning and defect detection systems, the machine inspects stacking precision and separator quality in real time and automatically rejects defective products. Multi-station parallel stacking delivers outstanding productivity. This solution is extensively applied in the production of pouch batteries and blade batteries.
