R920 Series Multi-axis Integrated Servo Drives: Compact EtherCAT Drive for Robot Systems

2026-10-21

When developing robot electrical cabinets, space constraints and multi-axis synchronous control remain key considerations for manufacturers. With traditional modular multi-axis servo drives, space occupation and wiring complexity rise as the number of axes increases, limiting the miniaturization of complete robot machines.

The R920 series multi-axis integrated servo drives for robots are high-performance integrated solutions developed for full-scenario robot applications. Compared with modular multi-axis servo drives, they feature a more compact structure. Taking the 6-axis 750W model as an example, its overall size is roughly equivalent to an A4 sheet of paper. A wide range of power combinations supports robot payloads from 1.5kg to 1500kg. It is compatible with mainstream robot types including SCARA, Delta, 4-axis palletizing and 6-joint robots, and works with various robot bus control systems.

Designed with a flat multi-axis integrated structure and equipped with independent air ducts, the drive supports through-wall mounting and delivers reliable environmental adaptability. It fits multiple types of electrical cabinets and helps save installation space inside cabinets. It adopts the mainstream EtherCAT protocol, with a transmission speed up to 100 Mbps and a minimum communication cycle of 125 µs, ensuring stable multi-axis coordination and controllable motion trajectories.

This compact integrated design does not come at the cost of control performance. While cutting down installation space, the R920 maintains reliable bus real-time performance and multi-axis synchronization capability. It helps robot manufacturers simplify internal cabinet wiring, optimize electrical layout and free up more room for overall machine design.

As robot system integration moves toward miniaturization and higher integration, the R920 multi-axis integrated servo provides robot manufacturers with a drive option that balances space efficiency and stable motion control.
